Therapy

Whether beginning therapy for the first time or coming back after a break, it can bring up feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. My goal is to work with you to make therapy a comfortable experience where you feel safe being vulnerable, while also keeping in focus your goals for change.

My Approach

Building Insight

Together we will explore your story and make links between the present and the past, giving you the freedom to break patterns and forge new paths.

Identifying Emotions

We will work to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring, identifying and expressing difficult emotions. By training these emotional muscles, you will learn new ways to cope with challenging feelings, creating more space to feel other feelings like joy and satisfaction.

Relating in New Ways

Sometimes in life we can become stuck relating to others in ways that don’t feel good. Together we will practice finding and expressing new ways of relating to others in order to have more fulfilling connections.

Building Practical Skills

Alongside talk-therapy, skills can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Depending on what you find beneficial, we can start out building skills together and revisit them throughout the course of therapy.
